Meeting was called to order by David Yeager, at time 7:20 p.m.
Board members in attendance were as follows: David Yeager, Kerry Postel, Natalie Yancey and Alfred Rodriguez. Mel Ash was absent.
Lisa Donohue from EPM was present.
Motion made by Alfred and second by Natalie to approve the February 22, 2012 minutes.
Treasurers Report by Lisa Donohue
- As of February 29, 2012
- Regions Operating Account: $94,435.15
- Regions Money Market: $148,985.84
- Accounts Receivable: $141,430.78
Committee Reports were given as follows:
ARB Report:
- 3 Painting Requests all approved
Violations:
- Drive through completed. A number of lawns need mowing, fence repairs needed, some vehicles parked on grass. Letters being sent as needed.
Landscaping:
- Retention ponds Report received on the retention ponds and the work that is required at each location. It was reported that the mower is cutting the grass too low in the retention areas and it is not being allowed to grow. Mower blade needs to be lifted. It was also suggested that we get prices on installing concrete pads instead of rip rap. Prices to be brought to the meeting in April.
Unfinished Business:
- 129 Gentle Breeze Drive this home has now been cleaned and soiled carpets removed. Discussion has been made with attorney about QVLOA purchasing this home, investing in new carpets and renting out the home until the market improves, then selling the home for a profit. A motion was made by Natalie and a second by Alfred to proceed in this direction.
Under New Business the following topics were discussed:
- There are three more homes that are moving towards lien foreclosure, Lisa to find out regarding the option to purchase.
- Lisa is going to write to the City of Minneola regarding the commercial vehicles in the neighborhood. Attorney to send a letter to a home in Quail Valley that is currently breaking the bylaws. A motion was made by Alfred and second by Natalie to proceed in this direction.
- There are three properties where motions were made by Alfred and seconds by Natalie to file a lien foreclosure.
Next meeting will be April 25th 2012.
