Quorum was met.
Meeting was called to order by Dave Yeager, at time 7:35 p.m. after a brief introduction from Sheriff Mark Stauffer of Lake County who is newly assigned to Quail Valley. He offered some crime prevention tips that will be posted on the QVLOA website.
Board members in attendance were as follows: Dave Yeager, Steve McPherson and Alfred Rodriguez. Lynn Anoai and Mel Ash were absent.
Community Manager Lisa Donohue from EPM was present.
The March 2014 minutes were approved with a motion from Alfred and seconded by Steve. All agreed. Motion passed.
Treasurers Report by Lisa Donohue
- As of March 31, 2014
- CNL Operating Account: $79,562.59
- First Southern Money Market: $130,695.32
- CNL Reserve Account: $124,938.45
- Accounts Receivable: $90,699.64
Committee Reports were given as follows:
- ARB requests were reviewed and signed by ARB committee.
- A motion was made by Steve and seconded by Alfred to have attorney Al Cook send a parking violation letter to 819 Cherry Laurel.
- A violation letter is to be sent to 334 Gentle Breeze to remove trailer from view.
Landscaping/Maintenance:
- Management was requested to ask PLM attend the May meeting. Until that time, the Azalea plantings at the entrance will be tabled.
- A motion was made by Alfred and seconded by Steve to have the retention pond outlet at Gentle Breeze repaired.
- The Board asked that PLM be contacted to mow the yard at 223 Gentle Breeze. This home is abandoned and in bank foreclosure.
- PLM to be asked to pick up trash at the park including in and around sand box and to spray fire anthills near the benches at the park.
- A motion was made by Alfred and seconded by Steve to repair the information sign at the entrance for $425.
- The Board agreed to have the wing wall lights at entrance repaired and re aimed for up to $300.
Unfinished Business:
- It was decided by the Board that special security or off duty police would not be hired during holidays at Quail Valley.
New Business:
- Dave will schedule a special face to face meeting with Attorney Cecilia Bonifay regarding the sale of the land behind Tranquility, Tradewind and La Costa.
Motion to adjourn by Alfred at 8:13 p.m.
Next meeting will be held on Thursday, May 22th, 2014 at 7:15 at the Minneola City Hall if available.
