A regular meeting of the Quail Valley Lot Owners Association, Inc. Board of Directors was held at Minneola City Hall, 800 North US HWY 27, Minneola, Florida 34715 on August 27, 2020, at 7:15 p.m.
Board Members present were Ray Nivarel (President), Laura Smith (Vice President), Robert Tindell (Secretary/Treasurer) and Ron Caron (Director). Quorum was established. 4 out of 4 present. Marie Clark represented Management.
Meeting was noticed on Facebook and info Board on August 3.
Meeting called to order: at 7:15 p.m. by Ray Nivarel.
Previous Meeting Minutes:
- Robert Tindell motions, Ron Caron seconded to approve minutes for July 23, 2020, motioned, passed.
Financial Report
- July 2020 financial report was presented by Manager, Marie Clark. Marie answered questions from owners. Ron Caron motioned to accept financials; Robert Tindell seconded and all were in favor. Motion passed.
Manager's Report
- Manager apologized to owners and Board for being overzealous with the Flag notices. Manager has closed all violations since the association documents do not address flag rules.
- Board directed manager to review and correct violation wording in the violation system. Some of the wording is inconsistent with the association governing documents.
Unfinished Business
- Pressure Washing of Pavilion, Painting and Landscaping
- Painting Color — SW6133-muslin — Board approved color for Pavilion.
- Buried gutters or not — gutters need to be buried, standard.
- Two sides open — 2 sides open, road side and lake side.
- Cleanup and trimming of palms — all included in the bid price.
Ron Caron motions to accept landscaping work in the Pavilion up to $2,000.00. Laura Smith seconded, all in favor — motion passed.
- Erosion in Retention Ponds — Have Traveling Trees check all ponds for erosion issues.
- Garage Sale — Board decides to have yard sale on September 19, 2020. Asks manager to check on use of previous unused permis with City and advertise for event as last year.
- Flags — No issues with flags for this year. Will address documents at a later date.
New Business
- Laura Smith motions to award Yard of the Month to 101 Magellan, Robert seconded and all approved. Will consider 313 Gentle Breeze for next month.
