A regular meeting of the Quail Valley Lot Owners Association, Inc. Board of Directors was held at Minneola City Hall, 800 North US HWY 27, Minneola, Florida 34715 on September 24, 2020, at 7:15 p.m.
Board Members present were Ray Nivarel (President), Laura Smith (Vice President), Robert Tindell (Secretary/Treasurer) and Ron Caron (Director). Quorum was established. 4 out of 4 present. Marie Clark represented Management.
Meeting was noticed on Facebook and info Board.
Meeting called to order: at 7:17 p.m. by Ray Nivarel.
Previous Meeting Minutes:
- Ron Caron motioned to accept minutes, Robert Tindell seconded to approve minutes for August 17, 2020, motioned, passed.
Financial Report
- August 2020 financial report was presented by Manager, Marie Clark.
Marie answered questions from owners. Marie advised that there are two items that need to be handled by the accounting department. One of those the CPA will answer during tax work because it came from previous management. The other was an error from the bank and will be handled by accounting.
Manager's Report
- Manager spent two days this month on violations working on the new wording for the violations sent.
- There are 3 properties recommended to be sent to the attorney by the manager:
- 842 Cherry Laurel
- 213 Magellan
- 223 Magellan, that has 3 different violations
Robert motioned to send violations to attorney, Ron seconded and all were in favor. Violation passed unanimously.
Candi will send the Board a clean report monthly.
Unfinished Business
- Pavilion is pressure washed, painted and gutters have been installed. Traveling Trees waiting for better weather for planting.
New Business
- Long conversation about the possibility of the car wash coming to the corner next to Advanced Auto Parts was had by all present. Laura met with the owner of the parcel who wants to help association with traffic issues that may occur at that intersection if project is approved.
- Yard of the month: Laura motions to award Yard of the Month to 406 Trade Wind, Robert seconded and all were in favor.
- Board asks that Marie make the 2021 Calendar for the City of Minneola Reservations. Marie will host next month's meeting at Premier office because City Hall has early elections.
- Meeting Schedule for the rest of the year:
- October 22 at Premier Office
- November 19 at City Hall
- December 6 at City Hall
- The garage sale was a success. 35 owners participated. Hoping to have another yard sale in March of 2021.
- Laura provided information about the new meters Duke Energy installed. They are corroding fast and your lights could flicker so be advised there is an issue.
